Now if something like this ever happens on a 360 or PS3, you can still play until you get back online, at which point the update is required (as I'm sure you all know). I deleted my connection's security code, and then even the connection itself, and both times was prompted to fix/create connections, then booted away from the game.
Unless game updates are just THAT substantial, because I recall seeing an option to start software anyway when updating things like the Youtube channel, what I'm pulling out from this is that the Wii U is completely inoperable to anyone without internet access.

Like say my internet fails to work for whatever reason, and there's an update for a game (not sure how it would know).
You can skip installations and even play games while downloading updates.
I don't get too much spare time to play games these days, but when I do I actually want to be able to play my games.ISO files, and can be created using a compressor program, just read the next section), and the custom firmware can read these images just like a normal disk, just follow these steps..Well you may think “man, that would take some kind of wizard or something” but no, its easy as pie with the great tools your wonderful ps3scene devs (that work so hard to tick off Sony, lol) have generously giving out to the inter webs for free, and Sony as well for they’re never used PSPEMU that roams around in our PS3’s for some odd reason (like a tree gnome or lawn elf.) Now you may be saying “this dude is getting annoying with this odd rambling.” Yes I do believe I am, so here is a poor excuse for a guide I made for this very simple process of converting your PSP game that hurts your hands into a ps3 game you can play for days with the great Dualshock 3 and a big screen you can actually see and read.Games designed for the Sony PSP come on a disc-based format called UMD.These UMD discs are about half the physical size of a regular CD or DVD disc.Am I just completely unable to play until I reconnect?
